Keith Vaux qualified as a Solicitor in 1965, after studying at Durham University and the College of Law. He passed the Solicitors part two examination with distinction in Commercial Law and Family Law. He joined Freers in 1967 as a criminal advocate, a role he fulfilled for 15 years.

Keith was heavily involved in the setting up of the Duty Solicitor Scheme in the Middlesbrough area. During this time, he also undertook matrimonial and licensing work in the Magistrates Court. This then led to the receipt of instructions from one of the country’s leading FTSE 100 companies, for whom he acted almost exclusively for the next 15 years, undertaking commercial property transactions including leasing, the purchase and sale of public houses and the granting of mortgages to public houses and clubs.

Keith now acts as a Consultant at Freers Askew Bunting.
